Le Lido is one of Paris’s most iconic musical theatre venues, long associated with the glamour and spectacle of the Champs‑Élysées. Founded in 1946 at 78 Avenue des Champs‑Élysées, it quickly became a symbol of post‑war Parisian nightlife, blending elegance, innovation, and a distinctly French sense of showmanship. In 1977, the venue moved to its current location, where it continued to evolve while preserving its legendary aura.

For decades, the Lido was internationally renowned for its exotic cabaret and burlesque revues, featuring dancers, singers, acrobats, and large‑scale stage effects that pushed the boundaries of live entertainment. Its famous Bluebell Girls, elaborate costumes, and technically ambitious productions helped define the modern cabaret genre and attracted audiences from around the world. The venue became a cultural touchstone, embodying the glamour and fantasy of Parisian performance art.

In 2021, the Lido entered a new chapter when it was acquired by Accor, marking a shift in artistic direction and future ambitions. While its legacy remains rooted in decades of spectacular cabaret, the venue continues to reinvent itself for contemporary audiences, balancing heritage with reinvention. Today, the Lido stands as a historic yet forward‑looking institution, reflecting both the memory and the ongoing transformation of Parisian entertainment.
