Isabelle Lesniak is a prominent French journalist and section editor for Les Echos Week-End, known for her sharp eye on international dynamics and emerging societal trends. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris and the Centre de formation des journalistes, she has built a career at the intersection of global reporting, economic insight, and cultural analysis. Her work stands out for its clarity, depth, and ability to translate complex shifts into accessible narratives for a broad readership.

Her trajectory has been shaped by extensive international experience. From 2003 to 2008, she was based in New York, reporting for major French outlets such as L’Expansion, Ouest France, Le Journal du Dimanche, and BFM. There, she covered the full spectrum of American life—from political and economic transformations to social and cultural currents. Earlier, she served as a correspondent in Poland, further strengthening her expertise in European affairs and global relations.

After returning to France, Lesniak collaborated with Enjeux Les Echos, L’Expansion, and Liaisons Sociales before joining the editorial team of Les Echos. She has since become known for her talent in spotting early signals in the Anglo-Saxon press, particularly in tech and lifestyle, and bringing them to French audiences ahead of the curve. A recipient of the Citi-Columbia Journalism Award, which included a residency at Columbia University, she now contributes regularly to La Story, the daily podcast of Les Echos, offering analysis on topics ranging from the platform economy to cultural phenomena.
