Julia Simkus is a psychology researcher and writer who graduated from Princeton University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her thesis, The Instagram Diet: Social Media’s Influence on Young Women’s Body Image, explored the effects of social media on self-perception. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness at New York University.

Julia has contributed extensively to psychological research, co-authoring studies on addiction and behavioral health. She has worked as a research assistant for Professor Nicole Avena at Princeton and has published over 70 articles for Simply Psychology, focusing on psychotherapy, eating disorders, and mental health.

She also provides career coaching and resume writing services, helping individuals navigate career transitions with an empathetic and goal-oriented approach.
