Omid Kassiri is a Kenyan strategist and transformation expert who serves as a Partner at McKinsey & Company in Nairobi. With a career spanning public sector reform, agricultural innovation, and large-scale infrastructure development, he leads McKinsey’s public sector work in East Africa and co-leads its Agricultural Practice across the continent. Omid also heads the firm’s Transformation Practice (RTS) in the region, helping governments and companies unlock bold, measurable results.

He first joined McKinsey in Johannesburg in 2004, later returning to the firm in 2014 after working in leadership development and renewable energy. His portfolio includes designing Kenya’s industrialization roadmap, scaling agro-processing ventures, and co-developing a 75-megawatt solar park in South Africa. He’s also a founding partner of a 5,500-hectare farm in the DRC.

A graduate of MIT with a master’s in technology and policy, Omid is a Fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and the Tutu Fellowship. He’s deeply committed to youth empowerment and sustainable development across Africa.
