ChatGPT launches a year-end review like Spotify Wrapped

24 December 2025
@adamstewartmarketing ChatGPT just released their own version of Spotify Wrapped. And it’s kind of crazy how much it knows. Here’s exactly how to get yours. Open ChatGPT. Go to Settings. Tap Personalization. And make sure you have Memory turned on as this is the only way this will work.
Now go back to the chat and type exactly this: “Your year with ChatGPT.” Hit send. Give it a few minutes. And then it shows you everything. Your total chats. Your messages sent. How many images you generated. Even how many em-dashes you exchanged. It gives you an archetype based on how you think. An award based on how you use it. Mine said “Most Likely to Automate His Own Life.” It even creates a custom pixel art painting of your year.
Mine had a MacBook, a matcha can, and a ticket to Fukuoka. (Honestly that’s pretty accurate right now…) I didn’t tell it any of that. It just knew. Currently it’s only available in certain regions. I’m keen to find out what an AI thinks your year looked like… #chatgpt #openai #chatgptwrapped #chatgptyear ♬ original sound - Adam Stewart | AI & Marketing

🌀 The Pulse That Remembers

Campbell’s “Beat Goes On (Rhythm to the Brain)” is all about the unstoppable pulse that loops through us — a rhythm that shapes memory, mood, and momentum — and that same idea echoes through ChatGPT’s new year‑end review, which turns a year of conversations into a kind of cognitive playlist. Just as the song celebrates how a beat imprints itself on the mind, ChatGPT’s Wrapped‑style feature reveals the patterns, themes, and emotional cadences that defined a user’s digital year, transforming data into something closer to a heartbeat. Both the track and the feature remind us that beneath the noise of daily life, there’s a rhythm we carry forward — a beat that keeps going, shaping who we’ve been and who we’re becoming.

ChatGPT is rolling out a new feature that turns a user’s year of conversations into a personalized, Spotify‑Wrapped‑like recap.

The experience highlights patterns, themes, and memorable moments from a year of prompts, giving users a playful snapshot of how they used the AI.

📊 A Personalized Look Back

The new year‑end review analyzes a user’s interactions to surface recurring topics, creative streaks, and conversational habits. Instead of focusing on raw data, it frames the year as a narrative — a way to see how your curiosity evolved month by month.

🔍 Themes, Trends, and Hidden Patterns

ChatGPT groups your prompts into thematic clusters, revealing the subjects you returned to most often, from travel planning to coding help to late‑night philosophical detours. It also highlights unexpected patterns, showing how your interests shifted or intensified over time.

🎨 Creative Moments Revisited

The feature doesn’t just track information — it celebrates creativity. It surfaces standout moments such as stories you co‑wrote, characters you developed, or unusual ideas you explored, turning ephemeral chats into a curated memory reel.

📱 A Familiar Format With an AI Twist

Much like Spotify Wrapped, the experience is designed to be shareable, visual, and fun. But instead of music tastes, it reflects your intellectual and creative rhythms, offering a snapshot of your digital year through the lens of generative AI.

🔮 A Glimpse Into Future AI Personalization

This year‑end review hints at a broader shift toward more reflective, personalized AI experiences. As ChatGPT evolves, features like this could become a foundation for deeper self‑insight tools, helping users understand not just what they asked — but who they were while asking it.

AI Is Quietly Becoming a Mirror, Not Just a Tool
The year‑end review signals a subtle shift in how AI positions itself: ChatGPT is no longer just answering questions — it’s observing your intellectual patterns, mapping your curiosity, and reflecting your inner rhythms back to you. This transforms the AI from a utility into a kind of cognitive mirror, capable of showing users not just what they asked, but who they were while asking it. It hints at a future where generative AI becomes a personal memory layer, quietly tracking the evolution of your ideas, moods, and creative impulses across time.
